CD-i (Compact-Disc Interactive) in Redump refers to any disc mastered using the CD-I specification (Green Book) and meant to be used in a CD-I player. Most famously a line by Phillips which they branded as gaming consoles.
General Notes
- Follow IBM PC Guide for dumping. Note that the CD-I file system is not readable on Windows. So all discs will appear empty.
- Green book as a whole is considered a "dead" system for Redump purposes, so all discs are allowed including CD-i Digital Video discs with movies.
- CD-I ready discs go under this DAT rather than Audio CD. Despite appearing as audio CDs to most players and systems.
- Hybrid discs (CD-I bridge) follow the primary content rule in terms of what DAT they go under.
- Many Video CDs have CD-I branding on the case. This does not automatically make them eligible though, so check the Video CD guide if that might be the case.
