Apple Newton refers to a series of PDAs developed by Apple from 1993-1998. Apple's own line of Newton was the Newton MessagePad. The software was additionally licensed to third-parties, who released their own Newton devices. Software was distributed via floppy disks or CD-ROM and then transferred to the handheld through the use of a computer (IBM PC or Apple Macintosh). Redump.info only handles the CD-ROM software, whereas the floppy disks are handled by other projects such as TOSEC and No-Intro.
