Definition
The 3DO Interactive Multiplayer is a video game console released in 1993 by The 3DO Company. It uses CD-ROM media.
Unlike most consoles of the time, 3DO did not make the hardware themselves in favour of licensing out the design to companies that not only released it under their own name, but often put their own spin on the hardware as well. Panasonic was the most prominent of these so the console i often referred to as the "Panasonic 3DO".
