Definition: The Apple Pippin was a short lived console released in 1996 as a collaboration between Bandai and Apple to bring multimedia applications to the home. It uses CD-ROMs and has some inter-compatibility with Apple Macintosh (PowerPC) computers. Towards the end of its life Katz Media SARL brought the console to Europe as the Katz Media Player 2000 (KMP 2000) but only sold an estimated 1000 units.
