Definition
The Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP) is a portable console released by Sony in 2004. Media was distributed on proprietary discs called Universal Media Discs (UMDs). There is no way to read UMDs natively on PC, thus a PSP is required to dump them.
Handheld console by Sony Computer Entertainment released in 2005 and which made use of so-called Universal Media Discs (UMDs). These are housed in caddies, physically smaller than even Mini-CDs and can only be dumped using the console itself.
Versions
When two different numbered versions of a given disc exist, both entries get the version number placed into the datname. This also applies to v1.00 discs.
Internal Serial
Internal Serials for all Sony systems are a standardized format in redump: [T:ISN] XXXX-##### (example: [T:ISN] ULUS-12345)
Ringcodes
For Japan/Korea/Asia UMDs, virtually all of them have a mould SID that is a bit difficult to read, starting with 45Q then a 4th digit. It often looks like "450" or "45O" but it is in fact "45Q." So the data side mould SID should be something like 45Q4 instead of 4504 / 45O4.
Single layer UMDs still have the second layer present as part of the UMD specs. These will be locked of in TOC though and discs will carry a dummy code corresponding to where the code for the second layer would be. Format on these include "UMXX-000206B1" (US) "A0600666666-B511" (EU) and "0000-00000" (Japan) and they get added as is.
UMD Video
UMD movies are currently not eligible by Redump.
UMD-PG games [/Sony_PlayStation_Portable_-_UMD-PG_List (List)] are eligible. But are currently not accepted since no method of making complete dumps exists.
