Definition
Sony Electronic Book refers to Mini CD-ROMs in caddies mainly for use in Sony Data Discman consoles. Sony Electronic Book discs come in several iterations, each one adding new features. The Sega Mega CD could play Sony Electronic Book discs through the Wonder Library / Electronic Book Decoder for X'Eye and the Sega Saturn could play them through the Electronic Book Operator.
General Notes
All Mini-CDs encased in floppy-disk shaped caddies.
Dead system, all discs allowed.
Include type of Electronic Book the disc is in datname:
- EB - Electronic Book (Text + Graphics, Japan Only)
- EBG - Electronic Book Graphics (Text + Graphics, Outside Japan Only)
- EBXA - Electronic Book Extended Architecture (Text + Graphics + Audio, Worldwide)
- EBXA-C - EBXA-Chinese (EBXA with Chinese character support, Japan Only)
- S-EBXA - Super EBXA (EBXA with Color Support, Japan Only?)
