Definition
Microsoft Pocket PC is a broad term used by Redump.info to refer to palmtops, PDAs, early smartphones, and other devices running Windows CE or Windows Mobile. Software was distributed via floppy disks, CD-ROM, or DVD-ROM and then transferred to the handheld through the use of a computer (IBM PC or Apple Macintosh). Software was also distributed via MultiMediaCards (MMC), SD cards, or Compact Flash (CF) cards to be inserted directly into the system. Redump.info only handles the CD-ROM/DVD-ROM software, whereas the floppy disks and flash media are handled by other projects such as TOSEC and No-Intro.
