[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Symbian Symbian] was an operating system used by EPOC processor devices from 1998-2013. Symbian devices are generally backwards compatible with J2ME (.JAR/.JAD) programs, but [[Oracle J2ME Guide|J2ME-compatible]] devices aren't necessarily compatible with Symbian (.SIS) programs. Discs with both .JAR and .SIS programs should go into this system and not Oracle J2ME. The Symbian system additionally includes the [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/N-Gage Nokia N-Gage,] a gaming-focused Symbian handheld. Symbian software was distributed on floppy disks, CD-ROM, and DVD-ROM which would then be inserted into a computer for transfer to the device.
