SmartE

General Information

Redump name for a DRM whose full name is SmarteSECURE and made by the US based Smarte solutions. It was almost exclusively found on Microsoft games from the early to mid 2000s.

Identification

SmartE protected disc have all the relevant files contained within the game executable. So easiest way to detect it is by using BoS, PID or go by the very distinct series of offset shifts in the Redumper log (seen below). Discs with the DRM also have 10 EDC errors that line up with one another.
