Redump name for a ring based DRM used by discs published by the Spanish company FX Interactive and found mostly on games from Spain and Italy. Its real name might be SonoProtec but this is not 100% confirmed and its very likely related to Dinamic Multimedia Protection. A company formed by the same people as FX.
Unlike Dinamic rings. FX rings have also been found on DVDs and consists always of just a single ring.
Identification
Discs carry a single physical ring covering a total amount of around 2k sectors for CDs or 20k for DVDs near the middle of the disc. These are in turn intersected by dummy files that masquerades as game files and which can carry many different names. Like Dinamic rings, discs will also always be mastered by Sono press IBERMEMORY and will have mastering SIDs in the IFPI L181-L190 range.
