Naming Conventions

Coverdiscs

Many original Xbox and Xbox 360 magazine coverdiscs cross over between regions, with a corresponding range of regional variations on the title (see https://redump.info/disc/60874/ for example).

As a result, coverdiscs should be named by preference according to the internal titles, with regional title information stored in the comments.

SS Version / SSv

Note that when dumping discs with MPF v3.1.0 or older and a Kreon drive, the submission info will contain an "SS Version" line. This is not the same thing as SSv1 / SSv2 - a quick summary as follows:

  • SS Version: 01 = Xbox
  • SS Version: 02, SSv1 = Xbox 360, XGD2
  • SS Version: 02, SSv2 = Xbox 360, XGD3
